This month I am so excited to introduce you to another amazing women owned business, who have also become great friends of mine.
What is Women Who Work? This is my passion project to celebrate the women in my community and they change they are making in the world. Over the past year and a half, I have worked with these two and watched them have explosive growth in their business. And just yesterday, they were able to have their Grand Re-Opening at a new and bigger location, having outgrown their previous location in just 2 years!
Amber and Danielle are "the sisters who bake" serving the South Central Texas Area, including Orange Grove, Yokum, La Vernia, San Antonio, Stockdale, and everywhere in between.
Whether you are a business looking for printed logo cookies to gift to clients, or use at your next open house, or a mom planning a party and realizing you just don't have time to do it all, these girls are ready to help. Personally, they do all our baked treats for RED's birthdays, and whenever I am the dessert person for a potluck. They are just so dang good at their jobs, it just makes sense. Plus, they can take your bare bones theme, and make the perfect shapes and treats for your event.
You can enjoy any of their baked goods at their new location, 128 Blue Bonnet Rd. Ste A La Vernia, TX
Danielle and I (sisters) own The Cooling Rack bakery. We have been decorating sugar cookies since 2017 and opened our brick and mortar in 2022. We offer drop cookies, gourmet cookies, brownies, single cupcakes and more. Our specialty lies in making custom cakes and sugar cookies.
I love baking because growing up we were always in the kitchen with our grandparents. It brings back memories of conversions, laughter, and who was there in that time.
I think our business is unique because we are two sisters who started out on our grandmother's sugar cookie recipe, and we are the only brink and mortar we know of in this area that offers sugar cookies.
Our business is known for our sugar cookies
My favorite service is decorating sugar cookies. I love the challenge and the look of our customers faces when they receive their order.
We host parties/class for our sugar cookies. I love showing our clients how to decorate sugar cookies. Its fun watching friends try outdo each other or watching an 8-year-old watching your every move to make sure they do the same thing you do.
I think my greatest strengths is pushing my limits. I am always trying to be better than I was the day before and go over and beyond.
I would tell them that there are a lot of good days but there are some that are bad. But we are learning that bad and hard days is a good thing in some way. Whether its learning from your mistakes or the universe telling you, you are growing.
Be the kind of person who literally can achieve anything. The kind of person who has learned that doing hard things and consistently pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone is key to the ultimate happiness.
